Organisation details

Blue Cross Animal Hospital, Victoria

Blue Cross Victoria animal hospital treats thousands of pets every year, with treatments ranging from routine neutering to complex operations. The hospital is thought to be the oldest of its kind in the world.

It has extended its services so it can reach people and pets who struggle to get to the hospital, including mobile veterinary clinics, a community vet nurse to make home visits and an ambulance service to help transport animals to and from the hospital.

Their veterinary services are available to pets whose owners are on certain means-tested benefits or low incomes. You’ll be requested to bring proof of your benefit along with photo ID or a utility bill. People on a low income may also qualify at their discretion and you will need to bring a wage slip or bank statement.
