The Queen's Platinum Jubilee

The Queen celebrates her Platinum Jubilee this year, marking 70 years since she ascended to the throne.

Street parties are being planned across the country, and official festivities include the Queen’s Green Canopy campaign and the Platinum Pudding Competition.

Here are some of the events happening in Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea: 

• In-Deep's Platinum Jubilee Tea Dance for over 50s
  Saturday 4 June 2022 12:00pm - 3:00pm
  Join In-Deep for their Platinum Jubilee Tea Dance to celebrate the Queen's 70th Jubilee on Saturday 4th June 12 - 3pm. Free entertainment, Food and performance from In-Deep's over 50's choir featuring students from the Royal College of Music.
  
  
• Abbey Centre Platinum Jubilee Tea Party
  Thursday 9 June 2022 12:30pm - 5:30pm
  Join us for a special Platinum Jubilee Tea Party, celebrating the first British monarch to reach 70 years on the throne. We’ll enjoy tea, cakes and a raffle. Our resident DJ Supa Sarah will get us dancing to a selection of classic songs
  
  
• Age UK Westminster Afternoon Tea at Kensington Palace
  Friday 3 June 2022 10:00am - 1:00pm
  Friday 3rd June 10.00am-1.00pm Enjoy a wonderful time at Kensington Palace have afternoon tea and quiz and then view the palace to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee. 

There are street parties being held in both boroughs, including: 

• The King’s Road Platinum Jubilee Street Party organised by Cadogan Estates Ltd on Saturday 4 June from 11am - 6pm with a section of the Kings Road from Sloane Square to Cheltenham Terrace closed to traffic, and local retailers such as Peter Jones and Chelsea Physic Garden hosting marquees with activities such as crown making and face painting. No tickets required.
