Thursday 25 November is Carers Rights Day!
This is the national awareness day to help ensure carers know their rights and are able to access support that is available to them as soon as they need it.
On the day, Carers Network have a number of in-person and online workshops and activities for carers in the City of Westminster and The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

In-person workshops and activities on day
11am-12:30pm: Energy Savings workshop being delivered by Citizens Advice Westminster.

2pm-3:30pm: Wellbeing in Nature Session being delivered by Community Living Well
Learn more about the benefits of nature for our wellbeing, and learn easy self-help tips to include more nature in your daily life at this in-person workshop!

1:30pm-3pm: Green Doctor Workshop: Energy Savings
Learn how to save energy and reduce your fuel bills in this online session
2pm-3:30pm: Future Planning Workshop: Carers and Future Care Planning
The session will focus discussion on introducing Advanced Care planning and what future care planning may include. We will also consider the challenges and benefits of talking about death and dying with family and planning for future care
4pm-5pm: Employment Rights For Carers
This session being delivered by the Working For Carers Programme will focus on carers’ rights at work, how to balancing work and caring.
It will also show how Working for Carers can help you find the right opportunities.
5:30pm-7pm: Carers’ Quiz
A fun online quiz for carers being hosted by Sandie and Paula from the team to round the day off!
