Open Age: Phone Clubs and Book Talk for the Housebound

Not Specified none from OPEN AGE

Open Age runs weekly telephone activity groups for those people aged over 50 who are truly housebound, these range from social groups to book groups and creative writing classes. These are lively groups that connect people who are isolated due to illness or infirmity. Whether it is talking about recent Events in the News or enjoying a Quiz - the choice is that of those calling in. All calls are FREE.

Book Talk participants jointly decide which book they will read during a month and that book is then delviered by the mobile Library Service to your home. Each month those who have read the book chat about it and talk about other books they have read. There have been come lively discussions and again the calls are all FREE.

You can refer people to this service or refer yourself, and you will be reminded to call in on the day to call in at the appropriate time!  Please contact Alexandra Kerswell for more information on akerswell@openage.org.uk or 020 8962 5584
