Admiral Nurse Service (Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster)

The Admiral Nurses provide information, practical advice and emotional support for people living in Westminster or Kensington and Chelsea who care for a relative or friend who has dementia.

Its nurses provide information, practical advice and emotional support. They can assist in obtaining professional assessment, support services, welfare benefits and relief care.

In addition, Admiral Nurses provide consultancy and education to professionals to model best practice and improve dementia care in a variety of care settings.

Anyone can refer to the Admiral Nurses - the criteria for working with the service are:-

  • the person with dementia must have a formal diagnosis
  • the person with dementia must live in Kensington, Chelsea or Westminster
  • the carer must be providing care, know the diagnosis and consent to the referral.
