We are experienced in supporting people who display challenging behaviour and our staff are fully trained to support people effectively and sensitively. We know and understand that what is often labelled challenging behaviour is in fact a form of communication. We work hard to understand what someone is trying to achieve their behaviour and body language, so that we can respond in constructive ways. Our expert practice development team, which works closely with the Tizard Centre in Kent, continues to develop our work in this area and to support staff across the country.

With you and the people who know you best, we will develop a person-centred approach in order to understand how you want to live your life. One of the ways we will work with you is through Positive Behaviour Support which increases the quality of your life and others within home, work and community settings. We will meet with you to agree a support plan that meets your needs and gives you choice and control and we will review this regularly with you to make sure that as your circumstances change we can change with you
