Description
Lifeways is able to provide respite or short breaks services to individuals with a range of needs in the community, holidays and home based support. These services allow families/main carers to take a break whilst ensuring that the individual is supported in a person-centred way and safely to continue with their routine and access the community. We are not currently providing this service in Kirklees but have the necessary locally based resources to enable us to do so.
Support and care services can be provided from a few hours each week through to 24 hours a day 7 days a week depending on the needs of the individual, this may include a staff sleep-in or waking night facility. Offices are open between the hours of 9am to 5pm, outside of which an on-call service is provided to ensure staff have access to management support 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Lifeways accepts referrals for any adult aged between 17 and 65 who has a diagnosis that falls into one of the following categories learning disabilities, mental health needs, acquired brain injuries, physical disabilities, autism and sensory needs.
The hourly rate is an advisement and subject to change depending on the needs of the individual.
