Adult Social Care & Health Consultations

The Fair Funding Review 2.0 is expected to reduce the resources available in councils’ budget. At the same time, the cost of providing services is increasing – particularly in areas such as children’s and adult social care, homelessness support, and temporary accommodation.

To manage the effects of these factors on adult social care services, Westminster City Council and Kensington and Chelsea Council are currently consulting residents about two proposed changes:

  1. Introducing an administration fee for people who pay for their own care but ask their Council to arrange it for them.

  2. Introducing a charge when their Council acts as an Appointee to manage their State Benefits.
