Resonate Arts May newsletter
Welcome to the May newsletter for you for those living with dementia. The newsletter replaces the monthly listings of events which cannot take place under lockdown
They have just finished the Victorian & Albert cognitive stimulation therapy under lockdown, the Wigmore Hall choir, Creative Befrienders and Music for Thought projects are now back under way, and Resonate Arts are busy recruiting for Art by Post, a collaboration with the South Bank Centre, and planning what’s next.
Kathryn and Julie have enjoyed speaking with participants about their first newsletter, and singing along to, ‘The street where you live’, especially delighted to hear that Mick was providing a public service by singing this down the phone to friends, which really cheered them up - they are now asking for requests!
This month’s newsletter includes a feature by Lydia who has chosen for you some of her favourite online concerts from Wigmore Hall. This includes the folk concert with a voice warm up and sing along, and features a film of the beautiful Scottish countryside behind the musicians.
This is followed by an invitation by Sarah, one of our artists, to make a museum all about yourself in your own home! The team would love to hear what you include in yours and they will feature some of them next month.
The Royal Collections have put together some of their photographs to get you chatting about VE Day
