Courtauld Collection and Beyond Third Term - Tuesdays (OATrips)
Artistic journeys
Discover some of the different ways in which travel shaped the innovations and practices of key artists in The Courtauld Collection via a special online series. Join art historian Fran Herrick for one session, or all four, to explore how selected artists from 500 to 200 years ago carved our cosmopolitan careers and outlooks when most people never left their hometown. Each session will spotlight a single artist and include plenty of opportunity for discussion, as well as optional drawing activities. Those able to attend all sessions will experience the full interdisciplinary character of Art History, with themes ranging from pioneering botanical studies to the ‘first modern novel’.
