Community Champions Conference - 21 November 2024
We would be delighted if you could join us at our invitation only annual Conference.
The Community and Maternity Champions Programme has been organising an annual conference in November each year since 2013. Champions are local resident volunteers who give their time freely to bring people together and support the health and wellbeing of their families, friends, neighbours and wider community. They are the original ‘community connectors’ in our communities and have a special place in the emerging Integrated Neighbourhoods programme and structure.
As with last year’s event, the ambition this year is for us, as a central community partner, to host and bring together our partners and decision-makers along with our Champions and other community connectors to promote progress, share learning and explore new initiatives as well as celebrate our partnerships and achievements.
The theme for this year is ‘HEALTHIER AND HAPPIER COMMUNITIES', reflecting the vision of our Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INTs). The programme has been developed from discussions with Champions, INTs and partners, and responds to the latest priorities for all.
The day will be hosted by two of our Champions. You will hear from speakers including local system leaders, Champions and other community connectors. There will be themed workshops relating to our Integrated Neighbourhood Teams’ objectives, discussing how we can all work together to achieve our priorities. In addition, there will be an award presentation by The Worshipful the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Councillor Will Lane, and a two-course networking lunch to finish.
