BIAS works towards improving the quality of life of the Irish community primarily in Brent.

They strive to improve the position of the Irish community in Brent, promoting opportunity, social integration, independence and equality.

• They operate through their advocacy/advice service, as well as working closely with older people through pensioners groups.
• They provide a service that informs their clients on their rights and welfare entitlements in order to enable them to have the best quality of life possible.
• Through their active pensioners group and respite project they aim to promote the process of active ageing in order to extend the quality of life for all people as they age.
• They encourage their service users to optimize opportunities for good health and wellbeing and to continue to participate in the community. This is done by providing an environment where service users can continue to take part in social, physical, cultural and religious activities, regardless of ill health, disabilities or retirement.
