Anglo-Portuguese Society

Charitable organisation founded in 1938 to promote friendship between Portugal and the UK, and to increase knowledge of Portugal and its culture and traditions.

The Society has a lively annual programme of events including talks, wine tastings, educational events and the annual Treaty of Windsor Dinner, a Black Tie event held on the second Thursday of May each year.  Events are open to members and non-members alike.  The Society is committed to raising funds for children in need in Portugal, and is a registered charity in England.

Today the Society has some 350 members, Portuguese and British, and has an affiliation with The Anglo-Brazilian Society through the BrasiLusans, comprising the younger members of the two societies.
