Citizens Advice - Westminster (CAB)

Westminster Citizens Advice Bureau is a registered charity which provides free, independent and confidential advice for residents of the City of Westminster.

The overall aims of the service are:

  • To provide the advice people need for the problems they face; ensuring individuals do not suffer from a lack of knowledge about their rights and responsibilities; and
  • To improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives; ensuring a responsible influence is exercised on the development of social policies and services at both local and national levels.

Westminster CAB helps people resolve their legal, money (including benefits, pensions and debt management) and other problems by providing free, independent, confidential and impartial information and advice, and by influencing policy makers. It values diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination.

All Citizens Advice bureaux use the evidence of their clients’ problems to campaign for improvements in the laws and services that affect everyone.

The bureau offers regular drop-in sessions at various locations around the borough.
