Christies Care Ltd

Anybody who needs full time care and wants to live in their own home. With live-in care, you have a trained carer who lives with you; who is there for you 24 hours a day; who is there to help you to live life as you choose, in your own home. For elderly clients, it means that they can carry on living at home, with their husband or wife, garden, pets, familiar circle of friends and neighbours.

For younger clients, it means that they can go to university, have a job, go to the pub, have a family life, and generally live life as they want. You can have live-in care for as long as you like: two weeks, a month, every now and again to cover while a family carer has a break, or for ever. It is up to you.

Whether you need a housekeeper and companion or have a condition which requires specialist care, they have well-trained live-in carers to do the tasks which enable you to live as independently as possible.

Their  carers

Being a live-in carer can certainly be challenging but it is also one of the most rewarding careers. All our carers undertake our industry-leading two-week induction training course.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT CARE AGENCY - A MESSAGE FROM PEOPLE FIRST

People First cannot recommend individual home care agencies, and does not vouch for the quality of service which they currently provide. Please refer to our disclaimer page for more details.

It is important that you satisfy yourself that you will receive the service which you need, and that it will be of a high standard. We recommend that you refer to the following websites when deciding which home care agency to use:-

· The Care Quality Commission website – they inspect home care agencies regularly and publish their inspection reports online, highlighting what an agency does well and where there is a need for improvement

· The NHS website – they allow you to search for home care agencies in your area, to see what other people have said about them, and to rate them yourself based on your experiences
