You can become a member if you're over 14 years of age, have a problem walking or a temporary or permanent mobility issue, and live in the boroughs or visiting.
Motability Scooters
If you have mobility problems and live in Westminster or Kensington and Chelsea you can hire a scooter to help you get out and about. Westway CT run a Mobility Scooter Scheme in:

Full training is then given to operate the scooters.To arrange training call 020 8960 8774. You need to be a member and have had training before you can make a booking.
Once you have signed up and had the training you can collect a scooter from 240 Acklam Road (but you must make prior arrangements so that a scooter is available).
There are also scooters available at the office in Holland Park, near the cafe.

If your mobility aid is suited to bus travel, you should be given a 'Mobility Aid Card' which you can keep with you and show to bus drivers so they know your device is suited to bus travel.
To find out if you are eligible for a card, join TfL's Mobility Aid Recognition Scheme which is designed to help passengers with a mobility aid such as scooters who wish to use London's buses.
