Sexual and reproductive health services
Anyone who has unprotected sex can catch a sexually transmitted infection (STI) no matter what their age, so it's important to find out how to avoid infection, how to get tested or treated, and how to protect your sexual health.
STIs affect one in nine people and are caused by viruses and bacteria passed on during sexual intercourse. Many are easily treated, but some (including HIV) are not.

If you are experiencing symptoms
If you are experiencing symptoms you should attend one of the Genito-Urinary Medicine (GUM) clinics with 'walk-in' facilities at the following locations:
- 10 Hammersmith Broadway, Hammersmith
- John Hunter Clinic, Fulham Road, Chelsea
- Jefferris Wing at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington
- 56 Dean Street, SOHO
If you are not experiencing symptoms
Sexual Health London (SHL) provides free and easy access to sexual health testing via the internet and local venues.
Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) clinics
For free screening, contraception and prescribing, you can book appointments now, and at any time, through the London wide sexual health services: www.shl.uk/clinics or contact your GP.

Free Online Contraception
If you live in Westminster or Kensington and Chelsea and you’re over 16, you can order your free contraception and sexual health test online through SHL.uk London’s online sexual health service.
All you need to do is register online at SHL.uk you will directed to the contraception methods available including Emergency Hormonal Contraception.

Advice and information
SASH (Support and Advice on Sexual Health) supports residents to improve behaviour, attitudes, and knowledge around reproductive and sexual health. The partnership also works closely with community reproductive health, contraception, STI screening and HIV treatment to ensure services are accessible and responsive to residents.
